Cuba

I got the amazing opportunity to travel to Cuba in August and it was all I expected and more.

Being that the Cuban embassy hadn’t allowed U.S. citizens to travel freely to the country since the 1960s, I immediately jumped onto the idea of adventuring something so foreign to us Americans.

The simplicity of living here is something I am truly envious of. Everyone in Cuba that I met was (so nice) content with the easy way of life and the small town feel.

There were so many homeless dogs!

Havana was a dream.

I would recommend everyone go to Cuba and experience the true culture of it. I stayed at a bed and breakfast with natives and had to speak the language to get around (with the help of a bilingual friend) and wouldn’t have traded it for anything else. It is a beautiful country with beautiful people and I hope one day I have the chance to return!
